A source of constant blog excellence is Derek over at Neon Gold Recs, who've been behind gold-plated releases from the likes of Wolf Gang, Your Twenties and Passion Pit (maybe you've heard of them?) in a matter of months.Seriously, being the heavyweight snob that I am, I rarely trust that many people for music recommendations, but Derek is always on point, serving as my own personal oracle for what I'll be listening to for the next month.
His latest find is Penguin Prison, a young dude repping New York City and who's got some seriously good stuff going on. You might've seen the bloke's Marina & The Diamonds remix running around across blogs recently, but now we've got the first taste of Penguin Prison's Neon Gold debut, entitled Animal Animal, and it's a real tasty cut of bubbly electro pop. With something this strong bursting out of the gates, it's safe to say this worth watching out for. Scope the goods!
