THE PRAGMATIC

You probably already know of The Pragmatic from either their exceptionally great Justice cover/remix (Phantom Pt. III) or more likely through co-songwriter Andre's extensive and achingly awesome work with The RAC. Yeah you do.

Those two points of reference should give you a good idea of what to expect from the Pragmatic's new EP (Circles). It shows a deep love for all things electronic, with a mix of distorted synth bass rolls, classic 8-Bit sounds and crunchy drum machine beats. But the interesting part is that the EP is not confined to just those elements, it's got a real band feel, with a human energy you just can't get from a plug-in. Add to that the occasionally Gibbard-ish vocals and it's really tight package.

The Circles EP touches down today, and I've been lucky enough to pick a track off it to share with Hyperbole readers. Tuck in to You Blame Me below, and get wise to what the Pragmatic are doing, it's dangerously good stuff.
