This is just a radio rip from when Cut Copy took over the airwaves last night, but holy fuck, it's magnificent. Moreso than the Presets and moreso than the band they're remixing here, Cut Copy are the pinnacle of electronic music in this country. There's so few I.M.P.O.R.T.A.N.T. bands out there these days - all just kids with macbooks and sequencers - that it's hard to get attached to something when there's nothing beneath that shiny veneer. Cut Copy are that I.M.P.O.R.T.A.N.T. band. They're a band you should care about. And this is a remix you should care about. It's something to fall in love with/to, something to play endlessly, something to dance alone in your room to, it's something to make you stop and say, woah, this is really amazing. This is it.

remix of the year? big call. it's good, i'll probably listen to it a thousand times, but i'll make up my mind in december thanks.
