The real mystery of Sydney town is in fact what in fuck that Van She album is going to sound like. Cat & The Eye was a monumental leap away from the retro rock of Sex City, with this bombastic psychedelic-tro (someone needs to TM that shit) pop sound which was either from the future or ripped from the past...I'm still not sure. The album is part of a huge year for Modular, what with In Ghost Colours dropping next month, Apocolypso in April and the Van She disc to follow after that. We'll see if the whole record follows the course of the first single or not, all I know is I'm pretty excited. Oh, and if it sounds anything like this (P.E.R.F.E.C.T. from the bubblegum vocoder to the Embrace-rivaling guitar solo) I'll be a happy kid.9.2.08

dude, i'm pretty sure nicky van she shat this out of his arse one day in a sever bout of songwriting diarrhea . 'cat and the eye' is so bland it makes the john butler trio seem like klimt-esque next-level artistic savants, and 'danny' is no exception/ van she are the creed of "psycadelic-tro pop" . hopefully they pack it in BEFORE the album comes out, and save us the misery of being triple-j-force-fed the whole turd.
